Primary Functional Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of all finance, accounting, and reporting activities
  • Supporting presentations to the Board Finance and Audit Committee
  • Work closely with program leaders and their staffs to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures and explore how the finance function can support program operations

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Work with enrollment street team to recruit single mothers into program
  • Develop financial literacy index to communicate marketing message to potential donors
  • Train volunteers on financial information
 

Marketing

Marketing Manager & Online Strategies, wildlife conservation organization

 

Primary Functional Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns using social media, print, and donated advertising space
  • Manage social media and build online community on platforms such as: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Develop marketing materials and implement promotional programs

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Help create strategy for reaching untapped populations by creating partnerships with for-profit companies
  • Be part of a team to create membership benefits packages
 

Technology

Software Engineer, national center for childhood disabilities organization

 

Primary Functional Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement complex computer science solutions to bring organization in line with cutting edge practices
  • Develop scalable software solutions utilizing data structures and algorithms to automate and optimize existing relationships with partner organizations
  • Help select third party software solutions for scalability and ease of training

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Conduct focus groups to understand the needs of families of children with disabilities
  • Use social media to locate and empower evangelists to join blogging network
  • Join brand refresh project team
 

Operations

Operations Associate, national service organization focused on the high school dropout crisis

 

Primary Functional Responsibilities:

  • Implement and lead a continuous quality improvement process throughout the program and service area, focusing on systems and process improvement
  • Conduct internal audit to ensure that all program activities operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of organization

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Be part of Board Meeting team, tasked with ensuring meeting is engaging and productive
  • Help to recruit national campus ambassadors
  • Build alumni organization
