Motivation

When asked about my college experience so far, I always joke that I spend all of my time doing schoolwork or rowing boats and, as much of a joke as it is, there is definitely some truth to that statement. I pride myself on working hard and seizing any opportunity that comes my way, whether it be taking on more projects in school or stepping into a leadership role within my team.

Through these experiences- I have learned to not only be a better leader but a better teammate, to persevere through difficult situations, and above all, to take responsibility for my ability to impact the lives of others.

However, I regret not taking a bigger role in giving back to the community that has given me so much. Being a service year fellow would allow me to use the lessons I have learned thus far to truly help those around me, while continuing my personal growth in a way that stepping directly into the corporate workforce would not typically allow, and I hope I am afforded that opportunity.
